Clerical CD sets out its policy on investment

Clerical Medical is to dist-ribute a CD-Rom to IFAs det-ailing the

company&#39s investment strategy.

It will serve both as a tool to tell intermediaries about the products the

investment arm of the life office offersand for IFAs to use when meeting

clients.

It has produced 5,000 copies initially. Clerical regularly does business

with around 6,000 IFAs and has more than 20,000 registered IFAs to sell its

products.

The CD-Rom is 10 minutes long and explains not only the performance of the

main funds managed by the company but also why Clerical invests the way it

does.

It has also commissioned independent consultant, The Investors Partnership

Research, to make a recommendation on its funds.

The findings will be published next week in a pamphlet to be distributed

to IFAs. Clerical believes having an independent view of its products lends

more credence to its funds&#39 performances.

Senior sales development executive Rob Winbush says: “Our research

discovered that IFAs needed more material on fund performance and

investment thinking to help them advise increasingly sophisticated

clients.”
