The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments has signed a renewed deal with Paris-based global finance trade association, The ACI – The Financial Markets Institution.
The deal with ACIFMA will see the CISI collaborate on a range of financial education tools to global markets using mutual networks.
ACIFMA has associations in 61 countries including European operations in Russia, Switzerland and Croatia.
The collaboration between the two bodies will include qualifications, membership, ethics and continuing professional development content.
There will also be some recognition of ACIFMA programmes as equivalents to CISI units for the CISI’s investment operations certificate.
ACIFMA chair Bruno Langfritz says: “The main objective of the partnership is the promotion of ethical conduct and integrity which in today’s world, are two of the most critical topics in financial markets.
“The combined journey forward of CISI and ACIFMA will bring positive developments to the industry and our combined members.”
CISI chief executive Simon Culhane adds: “We look forward to working together on further raising of professional standards in markets globally.”
