Chelsea Building Society cuts mortgage rate

Chelsea Building Society is cutting its mortgage base rate by 0.15 per cent to 6.69 per cent from 6.9 per cent.


The rate change will apply for both new and existing borrowers from August 1.


The society is currently reviewing the rest of its mortgage range, with an announcement on any changes expected before August.


It is also in the process of reviewing its interest rates for savers.
