Cheek of the devil

Another shameless plug from MM features writer Will Henley. Fresh from a stint at the Edinburgh Festival, his sister’s multi-award-winning cabaret Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea begins a three-week run at the Battersea Arts Centre this week.

The show by performance group 1927 combines film, animation, storytelling and live music. It scooped the Fringe First and Herald Angel gongs and was rated four stars by the Times, the Guardian and the Observer.

Catch the show before it heads to New York in January. “A wonderfully surreal step outside everyday life,” says the Scotsman. Info: Oct 15-Nov 3, 8-9pm. www.19-27.co.uk. To book log on to www.bac.org.uk orcall 020 7223 2223.
