Chase gives free rein to UK dynamic fund

Chase Fleming Asset Management is rolling out a UK dynamic fund, to be managed by the same team as its flagship premier equity growth fund.

The new Oeic will be a higher-risk fund investing primarily in UK equities to achieve high capital growth.

The fund will be unconstrained by benchmark, style or sector and will be managed by Ross Hollyman and Ajay Gambhir, who are both part of the European equities team headed by Andrew Spencer.

Over the past seven years, the team has outperformed the FTSE All Share index every year through the premier equity growth fund.

The UK dynamic fund will offer a 2 per cent discount until December 29, reducing the initial charge to 3.5 per cent. Commission is 3 per cent initial and 0.5 per cent trail.

Hollyman says: “We have a track record of success with more conservative UK portfolios and now we have turned up the heat.

“There is no room for sentiment here. All our expertise and experience will be focused on making this the most dynamic fund in the UK.”

Chase de Vere investment adviser Anna Bowes says: “A number of these funds are appearing with a neutral management style that go which- ever way the market dictates. This is an interesting fund and there is a possibility we will support it.”
