Chase Fleming get s dynamic with Europe

Chase Fleming Asset Management is going for growth with the European dynamic fund.

The fund is an open-ended investment company (Oeic) aimed at investors who are looking for aggressive growth from investing in the UK and Europe. It will loosely benchmark the FTSE world Europe index, but will have the freedom to invest in companies outside this.

European dynamic will seek to identify and invest in the best and most promising companies in Europe. It will invest in companies all over Europe, with the bulk of these being in the European Union and to identify these companies, the fund will consider factors such as financial strength and capital growth potential.

Some of the companies that the Oeic will invest in will include Safeway, Hugo Boss, Total Fina, Remy Cointreau and Sanofi-Synthelabo.

It contains a high degree of risk, but Chase Fleming believes that Europe is poised for increased growth, as unemployment falls and inflation rates remain stable. However, the Euro continues to be weak despite repeated intervention by central banks and this might weaken some of the companies that use it.

According to Standard & Poor&#39s the Chase Fleming European growth fund is ranked 61 out of 91 funds, based on £1,000 invested on a bid-to-bid basis with net income reinvested over three years to December 11, 2000.
