Charlemagne Capital appoints joint CIO

T. Rowe Price International’s Mark Bickford-Smith is to join Charlemagne Capital later this month as joint chief investment officer.

Bickford-Smith began his financial services career at Schroders in 1984, before moving to Robert Fleming in 1986.

He transferred to Hong Kong with Jardine Fleming two years later and remained in Asia until 1995 when he returned to London to work with T. Rowe Price.

He will work alongside current chief investment officer Julian Mayo.
