Charcol push to extend brand profile

Charcol is aiming to extend its brand beyond the mortgage market with a press and poster campaign being launched this week.

The campaign, which aims to simplify financial services products for consumers, sees Charcol extending its brand profile to areas of financial planning such as Isas and investments.

The poster and press ads continue to feature the cup-and-ball theme with TV celebrity Jonathan Meades, first seen last year.

The campaign will highlight Charcol&#39s online Isa fund supermarket, which offers 370 funds from 27 providers. It will also feat-ure Charcol&#39s offline wealth advisory arm, emphasising the company&#39s multi-channel strategy.

Head of marketing Candice Hodgson says: “Charcol has established a strong brand heartland within the mortgage arena. But we have actually been offering our clients a full IFA service for over 25 years. The challenge is to extend the brand&#39s mortgage profile into wider aspects of financial planning such as investments, pensions and savings.”
