Charcol and Freeserve join forces in loan push

Charcol has teamed up with internet provider Freeserve to launch an eight-week joint marketing campaign promoting the IFA&#39s mortgage service through Freeserve&#39s website.

The joint ads will follow the theme of Freeserve&#39s current hippie-themed advertising campaign.

Charcol&#39s logo will be included in the ads to promote its mortgage service, as

well as a special freefone number to allow customers to get mortgage advice over the phone.

Charcol has been providing a mortgage service for Freeserve&#39s internet portal for nearly two years. Freeserve has

2.4 million registered accounts and 5.6 million users.

Charcol marketing director Candice Hodgson says: “The aim of this round of press advertising is to emphasise the benefit and ease of the online mortgage service, with the fact that advice is also available over the phone.

“The freedom of choice offered to the customer fits well with the Freeserve campaign and the wider range of products and services available through the portal.”
