Change of role for Aviva’s Philip Scott

Aviva International executive director Philip Scott will be changing his role to focus more on the group’s businesses in North America and Asia Pacific.

As a result of the proposed acquisition of AmerUs Group, Scott will be concentrating his energies on these two areas. He will retain responsibility for Morley Fund Management but will no longer be overseeing Aviva’s continental European operations.

This responsibility will be transferred to Aviva International managing director Tidjane Thiam who will take over as Aviva Europe chief executive.
