CGU hits out at pensions confusion

CGU has attacked the Treasury proposals for stakeholder pensions for adding &#34nothing more than chaos to pension reforms&#34.


CGU&#39s head of pensions strategy Jerry Barnfield says: &#34CGU is largely supportive of the Government&#39s aims to encourage wider pensions provision and is committed to working with Government to make the proposals in the Green Paper workable.&#34


&#34But what the public needs is a simplification of the pensions jigsaw. They don&#39t need another vehicle, rather a bulldozer to clear a smooth pathway through the current pensions maze.&#34
