Central Sipp offers access to holiday rental sector

Central Tax and Trustee Planning is offering a bespoke Sipp which it claims will offer greater flexibility in permitted assets than any other provider.

The Midlands firm, which is the sister comp-any of IFA Central Financial Planning, has developed the Sipp so that other IFA firms can market it and use it as a bespoke service for clients.

It offers clients access to overseas and UK residential property markets and the overseas holiday rental sector. The initial fee is £205 and annual charge is £495.

Central is aiming the Sipp at the owner-managed business sector and weal-thy clients. Bank of Scotland is trustee.

Central director John Eburne says the Sipp was developed because most Sipp providers only deal in standard products which do not reflect client needs. He says many cli-ents have asked for a bespoke Sipp.

Eburne says: “We hope that IFAs will be able to use this new Sipp as a white-label marketing tool for their clients. I do not think that mainstream providers will want to come into this area.”

Independent view

Some recent letters in this publication have had a musical thread running through them and I shall continue in that vein, being reminded as I am of the mid-1970s song Pick up the Pieces by the Average White Band. Sufficiently popular at that time to reach Number 1 in the US charts and for me […]

Collegiate says waiver firms should opt for high excess

Collegiate says IFAs whose professional indemnity insurance waivers expire in January 2005 will find it easier to get PI cover if they accept a sizeable self-insured excess. The PI firm says this will not pose a problem for adv-isers with waivers in place as they will have already put fairly significant amounts of capital aside […]
