Cazenove Capital has appointed Joe Le Jehan as fund manager of the £179m Cazenove Multi-Manager Global (ex UK) fund and the £127m Cazenove Multi-Manager UK Growth fund.
Le Jehan will co-manage the funds as part of the multi-manager team alongside head multi-manager Marcus Brookes and Robin McDonald.
Le Jehan has been a member of the Cazenove multi-manager team since March 2008. He joined Cazenove from Brewin Dolphin and has a career spanning 12 years in the investment industry.
Cazenove appointed Brookes and McDonald in 2007 after its existing multi-manager team, led by Mark Harries, left to set up a new offering at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.
Brookes says: “The last five years have been some of the most testing for investors and therefore an ideal environment to see how individuals have been able to cope. Joe Le Jehan has been on the Cazenove multi-manager team throughout that period and has proved himself a valued colleague and very deserving of the promotion to fund manager, which reflects his seniority on the team and his ability to add value for our clients.”
Chelsea Financial Services managing director Darius McDermott says: “The multi-manager team at Cazenove is already strong and experienced. Joe has played an important role at Cazenove for a number of years already and his move to co-manager looks like just-rewards for his contribution to the team. “
