Cater Allen urges investment in money market funds

Cater Allen is urging investors to consider Money Market Deposit Accounts because most instant access rates look set to drop below 7 per cent gross.

It says that Money Market Accounts enable investors to receive a guaranteed rate of interest fixed for one, three, six or 12 months and interest can be paid gross for deposits over £50,000.

The investment group is offering a one year rate of 5.8 per cent on a minimum investment of £10,000 which it says could be a good investment by the end of 1999 because interest rate falls are predicted.
