Cassidy Davis appoints GAB Robins to investigate fraudulent PPI claims

Lloyd’s specialist personal lines insurer Cassidy Davis has appointed GAB Robins to provide investigation services on payment protection insurance claims.

The investigation service team at GAB Robins, the global risk and claims management service, will provide support to Cassidy Davis’s syndicate 5820 claims operation.

The team will be identifying and reviewing potentially suspicious or fraudulent PPI claims, and devising a bespoke investigation plan in order to resolve them.

Cassidy Davis claims manager Mark Jacobs says: “PPI cover is a crucial protection in the current economic environment so it is important that legitimate claims are settled quickly. However, industry statistics show the volume of fraudulent claims is also increasing. GAB Robins’s reputation in claims investigation and their service capabilities made them the right partner at the right time.”

GAB Robins UK head of sales Neil Matthews says the appointment will produce “real opportunities” to extend the availability of its services.
