Carby made Openwork chief

Foster Denovo founding executive chairman Keith Carby has been confirmed as new chief executive of Openwork, replacing Stephen Leaman.

Carby starts on October 15 and speculation is mounting that he has been brought in to oversee Openwork’s flotation.

Carby, who was managing director of Allied Dunbar, has also been chairman and chief executive of Inter-Alliance, where he negotiated its mer-ger with Millfield. He was later a director of the Tenet Group, coordinating the acquisition of Berkeley Independent Advisers network.

Carby says: “This is an exciting time in the distribution marketplace and with Zurich’s commitment to seeing Openwork as a free-standing business, the potential is enormous. I am really looking forward to helping complete the business mission Stephen and his colleagues have so ably developed.”
