Canada Life appoints new MD

Canada Life has created the new role of managing director of its Wealth Management division and appointed Alain Wolffe to fill the role.

Wolffe who was previously executive director of the division will have responsibility for the Isle of Man based Canada Life International and the onshore unit-linked investment business. He will also take on the sales and marketing side of these businesses.

The Group has also appointed John Occleshaw as executive director for Life and Pensions and he will take responsibility for its annuity business and the customer services department.

Canada Life chief executive Ian Gilmour says: The creation of these new positions serves to reinforce Canada Lifes proposition for the intermediary market place.
