C-lect Isa enters the Premier league

Premier Portfolio Managers has designed the c-lect Isa, an individual savings account that gives investors the choice of investing in between one and five funds.

Investors can tailor their selection of Premier funds according to their risk profile and whether they are looking for income, growth or a combination of the two.

Both the Euro 100 and global 100 funds aim to produce capital growth. They invest in the top 100 companies in Europe excluding the UK and the top 100 companies in the world respectively.

The Premier selector income trust and the Premier selector growth fund are fund of funds which have a bias towards the UK, although the selector growth fund does encompass other regions.

The enterprise fund aims to provide growth by investing in investment trusts and venture capital trusts.

The c-lect Isa offers diversity, but its fund range is limited compared to the Govett Isa selector, which allows access to 17 Govett funds at the same time. However, both Isas tie investors to one fund management group and investors cannot look elsewhere if the fund performance does not live up to their expectations.

Three out of the five Premier funds are top quartile and one fund is bottom quartile over three years based on £1,000 invested on a bid to bid basis with net income invested over three years to May 14, 2001. Three year past performance is not available for the Premier Euro 100 fund.
