Buyout could bring clarity

Sesame has for a long time felt like an unloved child in the Misys’ home.

So it is no surprise that senior management led by Patrick Gale, whose enthusiasm has helped maintain the business, is now looking to buy it from the parent company.

Of course, most advisers are probably much more concerned with the services and support that a network/support company such as Sesame can provide than who or what owns it. But we do sense that if this deal goes ahead, the firm will have more clarity of purpose and that should help its members too.
