Butterfield Bank urges professional advisers to prepare for A-Day

Butterfield Private Bank is urging professional advisers to prepare for A-Day and has published a guide to help them prepare for the changes in April.

The bank is asking advisers to review their clients needs to make the most of the new enhanced elements of pensions and consider the benefits of working together with independent Trustees to focus on delivering solutions for clients.

The guide includes information on business planning issues, activities for occupational schemes, primary protection and specific options for drawdown levels. The guide has been produced by development director Terry Monk.

Head of marketing Antonia Blake says: While some professional advisers will be well ahead in their planning for A-Day, we feel the checklist provides a good roundup of the areas advisers must review and double check to ensure they do not suffer complaints and unnecessary costs in the future.
