Bupa tele-interviewing service goes live

Bupa Individual Protection has unveiled its plans to go live with its tele-interviewing pilot.

Since the pilot proved successful in saving advisers time when tracking the progress of applications submitted, the health insurer says it is now rolling out the service to all intermediaries.

Bupa chief underwriter Chris Pollard says: “Tele-interviewing benefits both the consumer and the intermediary and although we will continue to rely on the medical profession, tele-interviewing should reduce the volume of medical reports required to offer terms.”

The service is a joint venture with Morgan Ash and the Bupa Health Line operation.
