Residents in Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia can now access private medical
insurance via Bupa International from £403 per person per year.
Under the new European Health Plan residents also living in Czech Republic,
Estonia, Hungary and Poland have access to treatment in hospitals or clinics
anywhere in Europe.
The Plan also includes cover for chronic diseases, such as diabetes,
worldwide emergency travel and the facility to add dental and optical cover.
Bupa International European development consultant Steven Martin says: “Because the plan is focused on European coverage, medical costs and
premiums are more affordable. The region is developing rapidly and with the
European Health plan, Bupa International is meeting the growing demand for
international health insurance from companies and expats, as well as local
professionals who want to ensure all their health needs are covered.”
Other countries to benefit from international health insurance include
Latvia, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
