Bupa launches health assessment tool for businesses

Bupa has launched a free health assessment tool to help employers make healthy working the norm among their employees.

Bupa Positive Health will provide all new and renewing corporate health scheme customers free online health assessments as well as information and advice on work-related and general health issues.

The service will also give employees online access to a series of health assessments focusing on nutrition, fitness, sleep and stress which Bupa says are proven to impact on performance at work.

Bupa UK Health Insurance commercial director Steve Flanagan says: “According to recent research 24 per cent of employers said their organisation did not take action to help improve employee health and wellbeing because they simply didn’t understand how best to, whilst a further 17 percent said it would be too expensive.”

He says Bupa Positive Health will help companies combat these problems.
