Buckles sets up Sipp to boost Snowdonia range

National IFA Buckles has set up a Sipp which will broaden the scope of its Snowdonia-branded product range.

The Snowdonia pension account, to be administered by Wolanski & Co, is set to launch on March 1 and will be available through Buckles’ advisers.

The Sipp will sit alongside Buckles’ Snowdonia fund of funds range which will be marketed as core holdings for the pension wrapper. Wolanski will accept fine art, residential property and the wider range of investments permissible for inclusion in a Sipp after A-Day.

The set-up fee is 350. Annual management charge is 300 for investors just holding Snowdonia funds and 400 for investors in external funds or equities. There is a 350 per property annual levy and a 600 fee for any property purchased.

There is no minimum inv-estment level.

No claim bonus

I think someone somewhere once said in regard to the investment universe that past performance was no guarantee for the future. But when it comes to protection claims, in particular critical-illness claims, a life office’s performance of paying claims should be taken into account when recommending to a client, should it not?Early guideline documentation from the FSA suggested that both financial strength and claim history should be considered when giving protection advice.
