Royal London head of communications Alasdair Buchanan is to his retire after 16 years with the firm.
He will leave on June 6 and will be replaced by director of brand and communications Susan Sneddon.
Buchanan will continue to support Scottish Life’s media activity on a part-time basis for around three days a week.
He says: “I have very much enjoyed the work I have done for Royal London and I am delighted they have allowed me to continue working on a part-time basis with Scottish Life during what will be a very challenging few years. I have had the privilege of working with some fantastic people during my 16 years in the industry, both within the Royal London group and across the industry, and I look forward to continuing to do so in my new role.”
Syndaxi Chartered Financial Planners managing director Robert Reid says: “Alasdair has always been a very solid and reliable commentator for Royal London. He will be missed, although it is good news for Scottish Life that he will continue to be involved with their external communications on a part-time basis.”
