Brown forecasts 3-3.5 per cent GDP growth for 2004

In his Budget speech Chancellor Gordon Brown stuck to his forecast of 3-3.5 per cent GDP growth for 2004.

He also forecast 1.75 per cent for inflation this year and 2 per cent for the next two years. He confirmed GDP growth at 2.3 per cent for 2003 and that over four years growth had averaged 2.5 per cent.
