Broker will name and shame lenders over dual-pricing

A mortgage adviser has bought the internet domain name lendershallofshame. in a bid to name and shame lenders which undercut brokers.

Advanced Independent Financial Solutions principal Gerald O’Neil-Bell says he will post a list of lenders that are dual-pricing.

He says: “I will then be inviting friends, family and clients to move their savings, current and business accounts from these lenders.”

O’Neil-Bell says the situation in the market is extremely tough for brokers. His firm has had to make three of its staff redundant this week due to current conditions.

He says he does not feel there has been enough action from the big networks and mortgage clubs.

He says: “There has been very little action on dual-pricing and this is the issue that is hurting brokers the most at the moment.

“A lot of small firms do not have the resources to complain, it is only the networks that can kick up a big fuss.”
