Should Hips be scrapped completely?

Yes 87%

No 13%

“They are no use to anybody, man or beast.”

Paul Bovey, Nelson Dean Associates

“They are a complete waste of time and ruin the freedom of choice both for sellers and buyers.”

Keith Lilley, Tower Financial Services

“In essence, they are a good idea that could be useful in the marketplace. The problem is that the way they have been tackled is completely wrong.”

John Burnard, New Life Financial Planning

“Surely it is the purchaser who wants to get everything inspected and brought up to their own standards, not the vendor? It would all end up being watered down anyway.”

Matthew Hall, Morgan Hall Financial Services

“I think the whole idea of them is ludicrous. It is going to make property much harder to sell. I think they should be scrapped tomorrow if possible.”

John Jewitt, Black Rock Express

“The system has worked well enough up to now and does not need this meddling from the Government.”

John Seymour, Cockburn Associates

“Even though we do not do that much mortgage business, I think they seem like a lot of hassle.”

Ann Morris, GM Associates

“They are just going to cause a lot of chaos in the housing market and unsettle the whole thing.”

Mike Morris, Mike Morris and Co

The team has over 800 members across the company’s four sites who are all raising money through a variety […]

Under the influencer

Having just ordered dog food, a trip to Spain, home contents insurance and a PS2 Singsong game on the internet, I then skipped through a report from the Interactive Media in Retail Group, an organisation that tracks internet sales.

Graphic Content – August

Given the release of employment data from the US on 5 August, we wanted to focus on employment data in this month’s Graphic Content.
