Britannia boasts of unit trust success

Britannia Asset Management says that ten of its 11 unit trusts outperformed their sector average over the 12 months to December 31 1998.


The fund manager says it is delighted that its UK General and Pacific growth funds have been given AA ratings by Standards & Poor&#39s Fund Research.


Eight of the ten qualifying unit trusts are rated by S&P including its Higher Yield Fund which has retained its AAA rating.


Britannia head of business development Francis Ghiloni says: &#34Market turmoil provides an opportunity for active fund managers like us to demonstrate our value. Despite a volatile year for global equity markets our outstanding performance record has continued apace.&#34
