Bright Grey’s Edwards heads up propositions for Scot Prov after merger

Bright Grey product director Roger Edwards has been named as one member of the five-strong management team set to oversea both Royal London protection brands, Bright Grey and Scottish Provident.

Earlier this month Money Marketing reported that Royal London is merging the management teams of its protection businesses, with both brands being overseen by a five-strong management team led by Bright Grey’s Ross Ainslie.

As part of the reshuffle Edwards will take charge of propositions within the newly-formed team. His remit will include product pricing for both brands and PR and marketing.

A Royal London spokesman says: “This is part of the review of the senior management team across the protection business. We are at an interim period where we are putting the senior team into place for overall responsibility for the strategy and delivery of the two businesses. Within each of the businesses we will have people who are responsible for the different elements, so looking after the marketing, customer services and sales.

“The decision has been taken that Roger Edwards will be the person in charge of propositions for that senior team.”

The spokesman says once the senior team is in position it will be able to “move forward in terms of what the roles and responsibilities are across the business”.

Scot Prov’s Steve Streak will become sales director of both brands, Gordon Watson operations director and Susan Sneddon retail director.
