Bright Grey announces tele-interviewing plans

Bright Grey has unveiled its plans to introduce tele-interviewing to help gather medical evidence directly from its clients.

In partnership with Medicals Direct Group, the life office will now use tele-interviewing as an alternative to requesting general practitioner reports.

In circumstances where a GPR would currently be required for a particular condition, the client will now be contacted by phone and interviewed by a nurse from Medicals Direct.

Bright Grey head of underwriting and claims Robert Morrison says: “Our new telephone interviewing service will provide significant benefits in terms of improving processing times and reducing non-disclosure through more informed underwriting decisions.

“It will also ultimately help improve consumer confidence and continue to move the industry in the right direction in dealing with the significant gap in protection that exists.”
