Brasington is new Pima chairman

The Pep and Isa Managers&#39 Association, has elected John Brasington as its new chairman. He replaces Rob-ert Balfour, who is to remain as a director.

Brasington is head of new business at Cogent, AMP&#39s international investment operations business.

Having joined Cogent in 1984, Brasington has been involved in Peps from their introduction.

Pima was set up in 1998 from the Pep Managers&#39 Association after the introduction of Isas. It has 135 members.

Brasington says: “The past three years have seen major changes for the savings industry. While the first year of Isas has been a success, there is still much to do and many ways in which Pima can contribute.

“I am very much looking forward to taking Pima forward and ensuring that the savings industry in this country continues to thrive.”
