Brain claims to be Betamax-beater

Mortgage Brain has compared rival platforms to Betamax video recorders and predicts that its system will corner the intermediary market.

In a document seen by Money Marketing, Mortgage Brain says: “Any introducer going with any other solution will undoubtedly end up as the one owning a Betamax video.”

It claims Mortgage Brain will become the single industry platform and intermediaries not using it “will be at a considerable competitive disadvantage”.

Mortgage Brain sales director Mike Green claims intermediaries need have no worries about a monopoly. Green says: “When you take money out in the high street you use the Link system. There is only one system but I do not see anyone screaming about that.”
