BoS chief quits to join Connells

Bank of Scotland Mortgages managing director Charles Haresnape has revealed his intention to quit HBOS to join estate agent Connells.

Haresnape has only been in the role for slightly over 12 months but will not leave immediately as he is not joining a rival.

His departure is the latest senior management shift at HBOS after the group lost then head of specialist lending Michael Bolton in Ocotber 2005 and then TMB managing director Bill Dudgeon the previous month.

HBOS spokesman Paul Fincham says: “We wish Charles all the best and we hope to work with him in future. No replacement has been earmarked yet and there is no firm date for his departure.”
