BNP Paribas appoints FundQuest CEO

BNP Paribas Investment Partners has announced the appointment of Charlotte Dennery as CEO of FundQuest.

Dennery, who joined BNP Paribas in 2001, will be in charge of consolidating the multi-manager arm both in France and on a global scale.

The appointment comes as the group unveils Michel Anastassiades as executive chairman of FFTW, the global fixed income partner of BNP Paribas Investment Partners.

Anastassiades join the BNP Paribas Group in 2007 as CEO of FundQuest.

The pair will report to head of BNP Paribas Investment Partners Philippe Marchessaux.

Alternative thinking

The summer is normally a relatively quiet time for the annuity market. This summer was no exception, with little movement in annuity rates, but this disguises the easing of annuity rates in 2009 which was a direct result of quantitative easing.

Balance shifts from debt to repayment

Net repayment of debt outweighed net lending to individuals in July for the first time since records began, falling to -£600m from £200m in June.
