Through BFA’s advance qualification initiative, 400 of the firm’s advisers and employees can create their own CII training package using a number of allocated points. Bluefin points can be used to cover the cost of course books, key facts guides, audio CDs and face-to-face training.
BFA director of training and development Richard Stokes says: “We developed this package for our advisers as we knew how important it is to allow individuals to learn differently and in the way they know best.”
CII corporate development manager Lorraine Cox says allowing advisers to create their own training packages “should maximise results”.
Unleash Advice Partnership IFA Adrian Kidd says: “Every adviser is at different stages so if they can create their own package rather than buy one which has already been put tog-ether, you will have a bigger uptake than what a standard package will have. It is something I would definitely look at and if it was as good as it sounds, I would buy it.”
