BlackRock appoints Geoff Cheetham

Geoff Cheetham is rejoining BlackRock as managing director of the UK account management team.

Cheetham has over twenty years’ experience in institutional sales and account management and joins from Goldman Sachs asset management where he was executive director of the UK & Ireland institutional business.

Prior to this he spent three years at HSBC as head of institutional and DC business and head of UK distribution. He also worked for eight years at BlackRock’s predecessor, Merrill Lynch investment managers as a director in the institutional account management team.

During his time at MLIM, he demonstrated outstanding client relationship management skills and has continued to build up a deep knowledge of institutional investment throughout his time at HSBC and GSAM.
