BlackRock has appointed Nick Osborne to co-manage its UK absolute alpha fund.

Osborne will work alongside Mark Lyttleton on the £800m fund, which has been one of the few to offer positive returns in the first quarter of 2008.

Osborne joined BlackRock in 1999 and has worked on the fund with Lyttleton since the funds launch in April 2005.
