Black & White links up with BM Exchange

National broker the Black & White Mortgage Company is aiming to

boost its expansion plans by joining the BM Exchange as a source for

mortgage-related products.

B&W, established 19 months ago specialising in remortgage

business, plans to expand to 400 self-employed advisers by the end of

the year from 180 and raise turnover to £5m from £3.5m.

It intends to place shares on Ofex in the next few months before

floating on the Alternative Investment Market.

The three-year deal will see it put all its term, permanent health

and building and contents business insurance through Berkeley Morgan,

the financial services company which owns the BM Exchange.

B&W says it will use additional services such as compliance

audits from the BM Exchange set up last year to provide

intermediaries with consultancy,agency negotiation, assistance with

IT and communications and corporate advice.

Sales director Gill Foster says: “We plan to put about £500,000

through BM Exchange as a one-stop shop of mortgage-related products.”
