Bischoff tipped to chair Lloyds Group

British banker Sir Win Bischoff is tipped to take over as the next chairman of Lloyds Banking Group, according to press reports.

The Financial Times says the former chairman of Citigroup has been asked by UK Financial Investments to take the job and help the group integrate HBOS, which Lloyds bailed out last autumn.

Bischoff left Citigroup in February and he had been expected to take over as chairman of UKFI. However the FT says he has now been asked to consider the Lloyds position.
