Big benefits are in site for Aegon

Aegon Benefit Solutions is setting up a huge worksite marketing website which it hopes will reach around three million workers in three years.

It is already giving information on pensions, mortgages, credit cards and insurance to over 300,000 staff in a pilot scheme which was started earlier this month.

Mymoneypal, part of Aegon&#39s mybenefits workplace offering, gives staff access to a wide range of financial services information and real-time data.

The system enables employees to ask for advice online from the IFA who placed the group system, meaning advisers could get individual business from the people who work for their corporate clients.

Aegon Benefit Solutions sales director Andrew Morris says: “Unlike other employee benefit schemes, mymoneypal offers employees the unique facility of online access to independent financial advice through its IFA advice centre.

“This advice centre can be branded by the individual IFA and offers them true and efficient cross-selling opportunities through each corporate client using the system.”

Wentworth Rose chief executive Tudor Taylor says: “We see huge opportunities in the workplace in the future.”

Class act

Tsk, tsk, bottom of the class. The Diary can only speculate as to whether the quiz team of a downmarket rival knew what the acronym Isa stands for at the Penrose financial services publishing quiz in the City of London last week. The Diary&#39s team would have gone to commiserate the rag&#39s bottom placing if […]

Partied out and penniless

December has left me destitute. My piggy bank lies broken and empty, my lunchtime meal deal feels like an extravagant expense and I’m down to the Bountys in my box of Celebrations. But I won’t mourn my dearly departed pennies. Between buying gifts for loved ones (then deciding to keep them for myself) to treating […]
