BM Solutions was the number one choice for best specialist lender, impressing advisers in the sub-prime, self-cert and buy-to-let sectors.

2005 saw an impressive campaign from BM Solutions to name and shame lenders as a way of protecting brokers from possible future client complaints which managed to stir up resentment from rivals but was seen as BM sticking up for advisers and highlighting important concerns.

May saw the launch of a new sub-prime range and extra-light and near-prime categories which BM claimed would grow business share by 20 per cent and again showed the firms innovative approach to this area of lending.
