Bellpenny adds £31m in assets with latest advice firm deal

Bellpenny has agreed a deal to acquire the business of Winchester-based IFA City Wealth Management for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition adds £31m in assets under advice and sees 100 active clients transfer over to Bellpenny.

City Wealth Management adviser and director Andrew Gibson will not be joining Bellpenny, but will work with Bellpenny to help with moving clients across.

Bellpenny chief executive Kevin Ronaldson says: “There will always be keen competition amongst potential acquirers for high quality, well-managed IFA businesses such as this.

“It’s a testimony to what we’re building at Bellpenny that more and more sellers of City Wealth Management’s pedigree view us as the ideal fit – both for them and their clients.”

Secondly, upon which I shall concentrate, greater flexibility for death benefits coupled with removal of some draconian tax charges. Hitherto, only dependents (in essence, surviving […]
