Beagles set for JO Hambro return

Clive Beagles is returning to JO Hambro Capital Management after taking a six-month sabbatical from the firm.

Beagles, who managed the JOHCM equity income fund, returns on April 1, 2008 after taking time off on health grounds.

He will return to the fund as co-manager alongside James Lowen, who has managed the vehicle in Beagles absence.

Beagles says: “I am looking forward to returning to JOHCM so that I can continue to do what I enjoy best – managing money according to a process I passionately believe in. James and I will work in partnership to make this fund a success for many years to come. It is an exciting time to be managing an income fund, given polarised valuations, extreme negative sentiment and when the UK equity market is yielding the same as 10 year gilts, as it did in Q4 2002.”
