BBC hack appointed to Bank of England

Former BBC journalist Jenny Scott has been appointed director of communication at the Bank of England.

Scott, who began her career as an economist at the Bank of England, will succeed Peter Rodgers when he retires at the end of June.

After two years at the Bank of England Scott joined the BBC’s economics team in 2000 and later became its economics correspondent. Since 2005 she has presented the Daily Politics show on BBC 2.
