BBB and Inter-Alliance announce merger talks

Berkeley Berry Birch and Inter-Alliance Group are in discussions
which they say could lead to a merger of the two companies. If the
discussions are successful the new group would trade under the
BBB brands.

The two companies say there can be no certainty that a merger will
ultimately take place, but a decision is likely to be made before the
end of March.
