Dr Barnard, who forty years ago assisted in the world’s first heart transplant in South Africa, now works with Scottish Widows as a technical adviser and will talk about his views on the future of the protection market worldwide.
Protection Review co-editor Andy Couchman says: ”We are delighted to welcome such a well-respected and knowledgeable figure as Dr.Barnard to the launch dinner. His insights into the future of the industry will be of huge interest to everyone attending.”
The Protection Review launch dinner is one of the leading events in the protection calendar and around 300 people are expected to attend the launch which will also see the announcement of the CSC Protection Review Personality of the Year.
Protection Review co-editor Peter Le Beau says: ”It should be a terrific occasion. Dr Barnard’s appearance is a fitting way to launch the fifth annual edition of the Review, coming as it does forty years after he assisted in the first heart transplant in South Africa.
“We believe the Review is going to be more thought-provoking and topical than ever this year and we believe that the launch dinner and the Protection Review seminar which takes place earlier in the day will be very important opportunities to examine the future of the Protection industry.”
