Baring picks small-cap manager

Baring Asset Management has appointed Silvia Wendlinger as investment manager for its UK & Europe small-mid cap team.

She was previously at Gartmore.

The company has also appointed Emily Matthews as an investment analyst for the European energies and utilities sectors.
