Barclays managing director of mortgages Andy Gray is set to leave the lender next month.
Gray has spent the last 18 years at Barclays, including 10 in his current role. Between 1989 and 1997 he was the marketing manager for Bank of Ireland Mortgages.
Gray’s replacement will be Raheel Ahmed, who joins from Standard Chartered Bank where he was global head of strategic transformation, retail clients. He had been at Standard Chartered since June 2004.
A Barclays spokesman says: “Andy Gray, managing director of mortgages, has decided to leave Barclays at the beginning of August, after 18 years of service.
“Andy has played a crucial role in shaping the mortgage business to be a leading and innovative lender, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
