Barclays launch two new FTSE 100 investment notes

Barclays Stockbrokers today announced the launch of two new investment notes focusing on the FTSE 100 index.

The new launches are FTSE 100 protected denied returns Investment Note for cautious investors seeking higher returns and FTSE 100 Accelerated Returns Investment Note Issue 3 for investors who want to take advantage of any recovery in the FTSE 100.

The FTSE 100 protected denied returns investment note provides a fixed return of 32 per cent as long as the final level of the FTSE 100 at maturity is no lower than the Initial Index Level.

The FTSE 100 accelerated denied returns investment note Issue 3 offers investors the chance to capitalise on growth in the FTSE 100 over the next five years, offering five times any rise in the FTSE 100 up to a maximum return of 100 per cent.

Barclays Stockbrokers head of investment strategy and marketing Barbara-Ann King says: “Whether you’re among the 16 per cent of cautious investors who are primarily concerned about protecting capital, or you view the decline in markets as an opportunity to achieve significant returns- both Notes are tailored to address the objectives of the specific target audience.”
